The Oasis is set on 5 acres (with a helicopter landing area) and is enclosed by a scenic reserve ( Mount Maunganamu) and Lake Taupo wetlands.
Panoramic views of Mt Pihanga and Tongariro National Park (particularly Mount Kakaramea and the volcanic dome of Tihia). Across the road is the Tokaanu Stream, this water comes from a natural spring via an aquaduct and is a spawning stream for the Taupo Trout. 5 minutes walk from the Oasis you can view the sites of natural hot pools and boiling mud at the Tokaanu Thermal Park.
